Why we get hair loss is a question that often bothers our minds.
Under normal conditions, between 50 and 100 hairs fall out of the head every day, and new hairs replace them and grow. But hair loss occurs when new hair is not replaced after the strands fall out. There are many reasons for hair loss, which we will mention below
1_ Inheritance
One of the most common factors that cause hair loss is hereditary factors that occur with the age of androgenic alopecia. This disease is called male pattern baldness in men and female pattern baldness in women.
2_ Hormonal changes
Some hormonal conditions may cause temporary or permanent hair loss. These changes may be caused by factors such as thyroid problems, pregnancy and breastfeeding, childbirth, menopause, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
3_ Taking medicines and supplements
Some medications and supplements are associated with hair loss complications, such as medications used for depression, cancer, heart problems, arthritis, gout, and high blood pressure.
4- Radiotherapy to the head
In this case, it is possible that the hair will not grow like before.
5_ Stress
When a person experiences high stress, hair strands become thinner and hair loss becomes severe, but this state is temporary.
6_ Trichotillomania
Hair obsession or trichotillomania is a common disorder that is seen among teenagers or young adults. In this case, with obsessive behavior, the person unwittingly plucks his hair, eyebrows and even eyelashes.
7_ Hair style
Using hair cosmetics (conditioning spray, hair gel, hair dryer, etc.) continuously and excessively or tightly tying the hair can be effective in suffering from traction alopecia. Also, constant use of hot oils to treat dry and brittle hair increases hair loss in a person.
